Abstract: The present study evaluated the effects of poly herbal formulation Garlina® on hyperlipidemia and Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) in patients with essential high cholesterol. Patients (n=54) were divided into two groups of statin and non-statin users with classification of diabetic and non-diabetic patients. Each patient in both groups received Garlina® tablets at 2 b.i.d(in morning before breakfast and at night after meal) in divided doses per day respectively for 12 weeks. Glycated hemoglobin readings were recorded at week 0 and 12 while Lipid Profile was recorded at week 0, 4, 8, and 12. Present study showed significant decrease in HbA1c and total serum triglycerides in each group.
